Our office is located in beautiful historic Doylestown in Bucks County, PA. Dr. Riesenberger, known as “Dr. Rob”, specializes in treating patients from infancy through college age and has been providing dental care to children of this community since 1985. Dr. Rob and his staff are especially sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of young patients. Our goal is to make dental visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Books, toys and video games create a “kid friendly” waiting room, and the hand-held video games at each patient station are a big hit too!

What Our Families are Saying
Dr. Rob is fantastic! I took my daughter for her first dentist appointment. The hygienist couldn’t have been more patient and kind with such a little one! And Dr. Rob was kind, informative, and very professional. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the office and their timeliness!
We just had a more emergent issue (chipped tooth after a tumble) and he made time to see my now 2 year old to resolve our issue. They were very responsive and I was thoroughly impressed.
As always, Dr. Rob and his entire staff provided wonderful quality dental care for my children. They have been patients of Dr. Rob’s for 14+ years and we most heartily recommend him and his office!!

My daughters actually enjoy going to the dentist because of the team at Dr Rob’s office and of course because of Dr Rob himself. They go the extra mile when taking care of the little ones and I know my kiddos are in great hands here.
~ M. S.
My daughter is a Special Needs patient. Dr. Riesenberger and his staff are not only caring and compassionate, but they treat her with the same level of care and respect as if she was a typical patient. If I could I would give them a 10-star rating, a five does not do them justice.
~ Nancy R.
Today was our first time seeing Dr. Rob, after becoming unhappy with our previous dentist, and I cannot say enough about him and everyone in the office. Such nice folks, helpful, kind, enthusiastic, and patient. They treated my three kids with respect and humor and were very transparent about charges incurred, and were very thorough in terms of filing an insurance claim on our behalf. I highly recommend Dr. Rob!

Dr. Rob is truly a gem! He has provided my children with outstanding dental care for twelve years, while continuously maintaining a friendly, professional, and nurturing environment. Even when we had a dental emergency, Dr. Rob came in on his day off to attend to my son’s needs. Although both of my sons are now in college, they refuse to see another dentist. Dr. Rob and his entire staff are consummate professionals!

Whenever my kids have an appointment at Dr. Rob’s office, we are treated like family. All of the staff make us feel comfortable and secure. We have been patients of Dr. Rob’s for at least six years and counting! All of my kids look forward to their dental checkups! They all get personal attention from all the staff. Going to the dentist is a pleasurable experience for all! I highly recommend Dr. Rob and his staff to children everywhere!
What type of Restorative materials are available?
Dr. Rob offers a variety of restorative options. Our office is Amalgam (silver) free and we offer both traditional and fluoride-free/BPA-free options. We understand every patient has different concerns and we are willing to accommodate specific needs.
When should I bring my child in for their first visit?
Decay can occur as soon as teeth appear in the mouth, therefore, we recommend scheduling a visit for your child by 12 months of age. This gives Dr. Rob the opportunity to assess your child’s growth and development, examine teeth for decay and evaluate the mouth for any injuries or other problems.
Important topics such as fluoride supplements, thumb-sucking and pacifier habits, and proper home care will be discussed. Early introduction to the dental office and staff will help your child feel more comfortable about future visits.
What are sealants?
A sealant is a material that is applied to the chewing surface of the back teeth (permanent molars and premolars) to keep out food and bacteria (plaque). The back teeth have naturally occurring pits and fissures that can trap plaque, resulting in decay. Sealants are an effective way to minimize the risk of decay on the tooth’s chewing surface. Flossing is essential to help prevent decay between the teeth.
Why does my child need a fluoride supplement if they already use toothpaste with fluoride?
Fluoride supplements (chewable tablets or liquid) benefit the forming teeth by helping to make the enamel more resistant to decay-causing acid.
The fluoride found in toothpaste, and mouth rinses, and applied in a dental office benefits the teeth that have already erupted.
Why does my child need to have baby teeth restored (filled) if they are going to lose them anyway?
Although primary (baby) teeth are eventually replaced by permanent teeth, they can remain in the mouth until 12 years of age. If tooth decay is left unattended, the bacteria can spread to adjacent teeth, other areas of the mouth, and even other areas of the body.
Why does my child need x-rays?
Dental x-rays provide a wealth of information regarding a patient’s oral health and aid in the evaluation of areas that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Radiographs can reveal conditions such as interproximal (between the teeth) decay, developmental abnormalities, tumors, and bone infections, to name just a few.
Our office utilizes digital radiography which, diagnostically, is more definitive than conventional x-rays and exposes the patient to lower doses of radiation.
What is moderate sedation (conscious sedation)?
Moderate sedation is a procedure that is recommended for the treatment of patients who are either very young and cooperation is a concern and/or those with high anxiety. The sedation medication is intended to help the patient with fear management.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider, but our fees typically fall within most insurance companies’ “usual, customary, and reasonable” (UCR) rates.
We gladly submit dental claims electronically (including requests for predetermination of benefits) for all patients who have dental insurance. Electronic submission typically expedites reimbursement and/or information to the member.
How do I help prevent injuries to the mouth?
Dr. Rob cannot emphasize enough the importance of wearing a mouth guard while playing sports. He can custom make a mouth guard for your child or they can try an “off the shelf” model that can be purchased at a sporting goods store or pharmacy.
